Where We Came From
Avo Tree Services started with one truck, one crew, and a commitment to Gresham.
In 2014, founder Marco Avendaño started Avo Tree Services out of his garage in Gresham, Oregon. He had spent seven years working as a climbing arborist for larger regional companies, watching jobs get rushed, corners get cut, and homeowners left with incomplete work or surprise charges. He knew he could do better — and that his community deserved better.
The first two years were modest: word-of-mouth referrals in the Powell Valley neighborhood, small trimming jobs, a few removals. But the reputation for showing up on time, communicating clearly, and leaving yards spotless built itself. By 2017, Avo Tree Services had grown to a four-person crew and began taking on commercial properties, HOAs, and larger storm-damage contracts across Multnomah County.
Today, Avo operates multiple fully-equipped crews serving Gresham, Portland, Beaverton, Tigard, and the wider Portland metro. We've completed over 300 jobs without a single property damage incident — a record we protect on every single call. Marco still goes out on jobs regularly. That hands-on standard is non-negotiable.
